Description

Statue of Sir Wilfrid Lawson by David McGill, 1909, from which allegorical figures round the base were stolen in 1979. It faces a screen wall with outcurved seats and pond: a memorial by Lutyens to the 1st Lord Cheylesmore, 1926–30. (Bradley & Pevsner, 2003, p.379)
