Description

Englefield Green. E of Wick Lane is PARKWOOD, a bad house of 1902–3 by Charles Shoppee with a LIBRARY (if built) of c. 1935 by Lutyens for the Australian businessman Clive Baillieu (see Lutyens’s monument to his father at Windlesham). Permission granted in 2007 for replacement with a Neo-Palladian mansion by Adam Architecture; not yet implemented. (O’Brien et al., 2022, p.272)
