Description

Engine house. 1907 by Sir Edwin Lutyens. Designed as a folly or garden ornament. Red brick with plain tile hipped roof. Single storey. The north elevation has a projecting centre part under two hipped roofs. Glazed double doors with a long 7-light window above. Wings on either side with the roofs sloping down to about 4ft above the ground. West and east elevations have a 2-light dormer with hipped roof. South elevation has a projecting bay with a chamfered band at two-thirds height and a circular window set in a square recessed panel. 2-light casements in the return walls.
